The bye week is over, and Notre Dame football is back in action this week against the Stanford Cardinal. On offense, Notre Dame really needs a big day. Quarterback Riley Leonard needs to continue building confidence, as do the pass catchers on the team. You are facing a Stanford defense that is extremely poor in pass coverage, and this Irish team has to capitalize. You need to make a statement up front, continue your impact in the run game, and show you must be more balanced.
On defense, there’s no reason you shouldn’t dominate Stanford. If you stop Ashton Daniels in the quarterback run game, then they shouldn’t have a ton of a chance to move the football consistently. They are also a team that is liable for a couple of turnovers, and players like Xavier Watts and Benjamin Morrison must make them play.
