Oregon gets little added pressure from other college football teams as they coast to a road Big Ten win against Michigan

The Oregon Ducks are your No. 1 team in the country, and Saturday's slate did nothing to change that.

Oregon handled their own business, which obviously is the first and most important step, going into The Big House and beating a stout Michigan team by a whopping 38-17 score. What happened around college football certainly helped their resume as the top team in the country.

No. 2 Georgia vs Florida

Nobody expected Florida to give No. 2 Georgia much of a fight, especially not after losing their freshman quarterback phenom DJ Lagway mid-game. Nevertheless, the game was tied late in the fourth quarterback until Georgia pulled away late to win 34-20. Georgia might be in danger of losing the No. 2 ranking, with 7-1 Ohio State beating No. 2 Penn State on Saturday. If I'm choosing between the two teams, I think Ohio State deserves that spot.

No. 3 Penn State vs No. 4 Ohio State

The biggest game of the day, Penn State hosting Ohio State, went exactly how Oregon fans should have been rooting for. In order to avoid a weird potential tiebreaker situation, Oregon needed either Penn State or Indiana to lose their matchup this with Ohio State this year, which happened. Even better, Ohio State didn't look like a dominant freight train, which may have begun opening some conversations about the No. 1 seed. Obviously, Oregon beating Ohio State directly and being undefeated would keep them in the pole position, but having Ohio State narrowly win with a 20-13 final score was about as ideal as Ducks fans could have hoped for.

No. 5 Miami vs Duke

This one could have gone better for Oregon. Miami remained undefeated at 9-0, piling 36 second half points on Duke and looking like a College Football Playoffs contender. Cam Ward, who looks like the best quarterback in college football, completed 25/41 passes for 400 yards and five touchdowns on the day. How the AP Poll ranks the top-5 after this weekend will be very interesting.
