The Penn State Nittany Lions took a major step forward in the season opener against Nevada by getting a 46-11 win. Their next step will be against the Florida International Panthers in week two.

The game felt over from the start, as quarterback Drew Allar looked good, completing all but four of his 26 passes for 217 yards and an impressive touchdown in the corner of the end zone to Kyron Hudson. The running game didn’t perform at the level we’ve expected from a Penn State team over the last few years, especially with the senior duo of Kaytron Allen (8 carries for 43 yards and a touchdown) and Nicholas Singleton (8 carries for 19 yards and two touchdowns).

With Florida International coming to town, the Nittany Lions will be looking to get the running game on track before the conference schedule comes into play.
