Gordon McGuinness is the head of content at PFF, aka Pro Football Focus, and he released his top 32 LBs in the NFL.

A list that didn't include a single Indianapolis Colts LB, not even Zaire Franklin.

Franklin is a defensive captain for the Colts who has improved as a player each season in the NFL. He's coming off back-to-back years with over 165 total tackles and over 100 solo tackles. He turned being drafted with the 235th pick in the 7th round of the 2018 NFL Draft into elevating himself into a true difference maker in the run game.

He let fans know that he saw the list that left him out of the top 32 LBs in the league. But he made a point not to interact with the post, including the link to the top 32 ranking itself. Instead, he reacted to the graphic highlighting the best LB duos apart from the list.

Franklin used this moment to shine a light on his partner in crime in the LB room and his podcast co-host, EJ Speed. Speed is coming off a career year of his own, where he was elevated into a full-time starting role after the team decided to release Shaquille Leonard. This resulted in Speed setting new career highs across the board with 102 total tackles, 78 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and tied his career high with one sack.

This upcoming season is the first year the duo are entering a season knowing they will be full-time starters together. And Franklin believes they are about to force those sleeping on them to wake up. Not only does he believe they should have been ranked on this LB ranking on PFF, but he also believes they are the best LB duo in the NFL.
