Elite quarterbacks are taking the NFL by storm.

Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs has led the way, racking up two Super Bowl titles, two NFL MVP awards, and two Super Bowl MVPs since 2018. The only other active quarterback who has come close to that is the New York Jets' Aaron Rodgers, but it's probably safe to say that his best years are behind him.

However, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson could be on his way to joining those two with his impressive collection of hardware. Jackson already has one MVP under his belt after winning the award in 2019. That means that Sunday's AFC Championship Game will be the first-ever postseason matchup between former MVPs who are still under the age of 30.

Shockingly, this has never happened before among all the great quarterback rivalries in NFL history. With all the talented young quarterbacks the NFL currently has, particularly in the AFC, it could start to become more common. Jackson is the favorite to win the 2023 NFL MVP, which would put him with Mahomes and Rodgers as the only active quarterbacks in the league with two.

If Jackson can go all the way and win the Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP, he will by far and away be the only young quarterback to rival Mahomes in accolades. Quarterbacks Josh Allen and Joe Burrow have been considered Mahomes' top rivals, but it could be Jackson if the Ravens beat the Chiefs on Sunday and go on to Super Bowl glory.
