With a 41-10 trouncing over the Chicago Bears in Week 3, Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid has climbed the NFL's all-time win leaderboards once again.
Last week, Reid tied Tom Landry (270 wins) for the fourth-most wins in NFL history. He now has 271 wins, which gives him sole possession of the fourth most wins, including postseason wins, in the league annals.
Only three coaches, Don Shula (347), Bill Belichick (329), and George Halas (324) have more total wins than Reid. Belichick is the only active NFL coach ahead of Reid.
Even if the Chiefs win out the 2023 NFL season all the way through Super Bowl LVIII, Reid won't notch enough wins to move up the leaderboards again this season. In a few seasons, he could find himself behind only Don Shula on the leaderboards, should Kansas City keep to their standard of success.
We know that Reid isn't considering retirement anytime soon, so long as he remains empowered by what he's doing and remains healthy. Really, all that needs to occur is for Reid to keep moving up is for the Chiefs to continue to win games. The team has shown no indication that they're letting up after five consecutive seasons with 12 or more wins.
