Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow didn’t hold back on Wednesday while discussing Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Burrow told reporters that he feels like Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL.

There probably aren’t going to be many folks who disagree with Burrow.

But one thing to keep in mind is that Mahomes has actually never defeated Burrow.

Mahomes is 0-2 against the Bengals with Burrow under center. Both of those losses came last season, with one coming in the penultimate game of the season and the other loss coming in the AFC Championship game.

This week’s matchup should be another classic between these two quarterbacks. And it could be another preview of the AFC Championship game (the Bengals are starting to get hot at the right time).

Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd said earlier this week that Mahomes vs Burrow is a lot like Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady.

It’s going to be tough to live up to those two careers, but it certainly appears that Burrow and Mahomes (especially Mahomes) are up to the challenge.
