Week 4 of college football is already here.

The season is already screaming by with Kansas City Chiefs scouts continuing to evaluate the next crop of NFL talent. Even with the NFL season here, it's important to pay attention to the players who are showing out on Saturday. Some of those players will certainly wind up playing in Arrowhead Stadium this time next year.

I've identified over 160 college prospects to keep an eye on ahead of the 2024 NFL draft, all of whom might be potential fits with the Chiefs. Below you'll find an offensive lineman from Andy Reid's alma mater.

BYU OT Kingsley Suamataia

Height: 6-foot-6

Weight: 325

Class: Redshirt Sophomore

Cousin of Lions OT Penei Sewell and Bears LB Noah Sewell, Suamataia originally enrolled at the University of Oregon where his cousins both played. He was a five-star recruit and was recruited by a number of teams, such as Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Utah, and USC. After a redshirt year with the Ducks in 2021, Suamataia transferred to BYU ahead of the 2022 college football season.

In 2022, Suamataia started 12 games at right tackle for the Cougars, allowing no sacks in 361 pass-blocking snaps. In 2023, he's played all 152 of his snaps at left tackle and he hasn't missed a beat with just two pressures allowed and no sacks in three games so far this season.

How does he fit in Kansas City?

Donovan Smith is only on a one-year contract in Kansas City. The Chiefs have plans for Wanya Morris, but to this point, he's proven to be more comfortable playing on the right side of the offensive line. A draft investment at left tackle might be pivotal to this team's ability to maximize the next 4-5 years of Patrick Mahomes' career.

Suamataia is an incredible athlete, landing Bruce Feldman's annual Freaks list for his speed and ability in the weight room. Members of BYU's staff were cited as saying he was faster than off-ball linebackers on their team and that certainly shows on the tape. He's incredibly agile in space and violent once he gets his hands on a defender. Really, he has the perfect skill set for an offense featuring Patrick Mahomes. He has the ability to act as an enforcer in the passing game whether they're playing within the system or improvising.

Round estimation:

As an underclassman, Suamataia is looking like a fringe first-round prospect. Big boards have him ranking anywhere from late first-round to late second-round. His performance this season could certainly give him a nice boost in terms of recognition should he decide to declare for the 2024 NFL draft.
