The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers are set to square off at SoFi Stadium in Week 18 of the 2023 NFL season.

This is the regular season finale, and both teams appear poised to have some starters sit during this game. Both sides are playing for nothing more than pride with the Chiefs locked in at the No. 3 seed and the Chargers eliminated from playoffs contention.

Here's a quick breakdown of the inactive players for this game.

Chiefs inactive players:

  • WR Rashee Rice
  • WR Kadarius Toney
  • LT Donovan Smith
  • CB L'Jarius Sneed
  • TE Travis Kelce
  • DE Mike Danna
  • QB Patrick Mahomes

Chargers inactive players:

  • WR Keenan Allen
  • OG Zion Johnson
  • LB Kenneth Murray
  • DT Nick Williams
  • S JT Woods
  • RB Isaiah Spiller
  • WR Jalen Guyton

Observations:

Patrick Mahomes is inactive as expected, but he was not given the emergency third QB designation. That means Blaine Gabbert and Chris Oladokun are the only two QBs with a chance to play on Sunday.

Mike Danna is inactive, but George Karlaftis is active. Both were listed as questionable for Week 18.

Surprisingly, the Chiefs are not allowing Travis Kelce to attempt to reach 1,000 yards receiving this year.
