The Kansas City Chiefs have some good injury news leading into their Week 17 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Chiefs running backs Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire are both expected to play, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Pacheco, who has already been dealing with an injured shoulder recently, sustained a concussion against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16 after his helmet flew off during a play. Edwards-Helaire, meanwhile, has been sick all week, but it appears he'll be able to push through it and play this weekend.
With Jerick McKinnon out for the rest of the regular season, it's tremendous news for the Chiefs that Pacheco and CEH can play. If both would have been out, the team would have had to rely on practice squad players like Keaontay Ingram and La'Mical Perine, who may still earn some playing time during Sunday's game.
Having Pacheco will certainly be a game-changer, as he has been one of the team's best offensive playmakers this season with 1,014 yards from scrimmage. And although Edwards-Helaire has been disappointing as far as first-round picks are concerned, he has definitely come on as of late, earning 72 yards per game over the last three games.
