Kansas City Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney is back at practice after missing most of training camp and all of the preseason with a knee injury.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid told reporters that Toney is "good to go" for Week 1 as things currently stand. When media members got their brief look-in at practice on Sunday afternoon, all of the video that emerged would suggest that to be an accurate assessment of Toney.

Chiefs Digest's Matt Derrick shared a video of receivers going through some drills in practice and Toney looked quite spry. He was able to start, stop and run the route with relative ease.

The team even had Toney going through punt return drills, which how he hurt his knee in the first place. That's a positive sign in terms of his mobility and ability to stop and start.

Arrowhead Pride's Pete Sweeney captured a look at that.

Sweeney also noted that both Toney and CB L'Jarius Sneed were wearing compression sleeves. Sneed had a black compression sleeve on his left leg and Toney a white compression sleeve on his right leg. Toney looks like he might be wearing some sort of brace on the knee, under his sleeve.

Coach Reid cautioned that the team will still take things day by day with Toney and Sneed, but things seem to be trending in the right direction for both players to be able to play against the Lions in Week 1. Toney is one of the team's most explosive weapons on the offensive side of the ball. Sneed is undoubtedly one of the team's best players on the defensive side of the ball.

Their potential return could be a big boost for a team that is currently preparing as if they'll be without star defensive lineman Chris Jones. The veteran is seeking a contract extension and has yet to rejoin the team after holding out throughout the offseason.
