The Kansas City Chiefs had some troubling news crop up during their final injury report ahead of their Week 6 tilt with the Denver Broncos

While LB Nick Bolton is slated to make his return, a new player landed on the injury report with a short week of preparation. The Chiefs held walkthroughs on Monday and Wednesday, with Tuesday being their lone full practice of the week.

That means practice participation is only in estimation for Today's injury report. However, a player popping up with a new injury suggests that the injury was suffered during Tuesday's practice.

KEY: DNP = Did not participate | LP = Limited participation | FP = Full participation | NIR = Not injury related

Observations:

  • Tommy Townsend was added to the injury report on Wednesday. The Chiefs do not have a backup punter on the practice squad. . . yet. A move could be coming there.
  • Both George Karlaftis and Travis Kelce are listed as questionable. With limited practice in estimation on Wednesday, expect them to be game-time decisions on Thursday night.
  • Nick Bolton will make his return after missing the past three games with injury. How much he plays with Drue Tranquill also playing great football remains to be seen.
