Kansas City Chiefs CB L'Jarius Sneed was mysteriously absent from the Super Bowl opening night on Monday, but he's officially back with the team as their "normal" practice week begins.
Sneed was absent for personal reasons, which we later learned was for the birth of his daughter.
"Yes, it was," Sneed confirmed. "Everything went fine. Everything went well. Thank you all."
Sneed missed the team's padded practice on Monday and the team's walkthrough on Tuesday, but that shouldn't impact his ability to be successful during the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs typically install their game plan for the Super Bowl during the bye week and then focus on cleaning up the details during what they describe as a normal Wednesday-Friday practice routine in the week leading up to the big game.
All that Sneed missed was the hubbub of the media in the early goings of the week. He's now just taking it all in and playing catchup in that regard.
"I just got here," Sneed told a reporter on Wednesday. "It's my first day in town. I'm just enjoying this moment, just being here."
Expect Sneed to continue locking down No. 1 cornerbacks come the big game on Sunday.
