We're continuing to learn more about the trade interest surrounding Kansas City Chiefs CB L'Jarius Sneed.

The 27-year-old CB received the non-exclusive franchise tag on Monday, which gives his representation permission to seek out potential trade partners. Sneed would need to find a team willing to surrender both draft capital and sign him to a long-term contract extension to facilitate a trade with Kansas City. Otherwise, the Chiefs can sign him to a long-term extension or keep him on the franchise tag and pay him $19.8M fully guaranteed in 2024.

What exactly does the market look like for a potential trade for Sneed?

Eight teams have inquired about Chiefs CB L'Jarius Sneed

Sources have told USA TODAY's Tyler Dragon that the Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons, and Jacksonville Jaguars have all inquired about a trade for Sneed.

We've already heard about interest from the Lions and Falcons. Detroit remains one of the best options from a sheer timing standpoint.

The Colts are a team looking to add a veteran cornerback, but I'm told they won't surrender a second-round pick in a trade for Sneed. That could be a non-starter situation for Kansas City.

The Vikings are very much in the same boat as Atlanta, in the sense that they're waiting for the shoe to drop on the quarterback position before making any decisions.

The Jaguars are a team that could be in the mix sooner than later as they've released a handful of players to create about $20 million in salary cap space. The problem is they have their own franchise tag situation to handle in DE Josh Allen, but should they sign him to a long-term deal, they could potentially facilitate a trade.

Teams like the Titans and Patriots are certainly interesting because they're AFC teams that aren't exactly expected to be competitive in 2024. I have a hard time believing Sneed would want to go and play for a team that isn't expected to be in contention.
