The Kansas City Chiefs finally had that one game we have all been waiting for. This type of thing does not often happen, even with a team like the Chiefs that are on the cusp of becoming a Dynasty – they just don't blowout teams that often.

For the most successful team in the last five years, it's always a weird game. The Chiefs are always the favorites, and even the largest of point differentials given to them by Las Vegas betting books doesn't mean they won't keep a game close with a basement dweller in the NFL.

The only game on their schedule last season that you could call a definite blowout, where the Chiefs did everything right, was probably the season's last regular season game- the one better known now as the "snowglobe" game. They pummeled the Las Vegas Raiders 31-13 in that matchup en route to a Super Bowl just a month later.

The defense and offense both clicked this time, though, when the two hadn't done so yet this season. Better yet, the offense hadn't clicked yet this season, even though they had just beaten the Jacksonville Jaguars. The offense was struggling; this was the perfect "get right" game.

"It feels good to get the whole offense going," Patrick Mahomes said after the dominating win. "I was proud of the guys."

The offense scored 41 points, something they have yet to do since Week 7 last season when they beat the San Francisco 49ers by 21 points. Everything was clicking, and even still, some things could be cleaned up.

The young receivers still had some drops, and the offensive line also dealt with their fair share of penalties. Other than that, all was well, as the Chiefs worsened the Chicago Bears' already bad situation.

Coming into the game, the Bears were dealing with several issues. Their defensive coordinator resigned and hasn't coached the last two games. Then, after their loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2, Justin Fields, the starting quarterback, in a way, called out his coaches for the offensive blunder the team had been in.

Matt Eberflus, the Bears' head coach, guaranteed everyone that no one is panicking. They all still believe. Things may feel a bit different now.

Mahomes and the offense did virtually whatever they wanted to do. The superstar quarterback got everyone involved, but it started in a different way than what we are used to seeing. The Chiefs placed an emphasis on the running backs in this game, and man, did they get involved.

"The first two weeks, we didn't look too sharp," running back Jerick McKinnon said. "We got challenged by the coaches. We challenged ourselves, and we came out and got off on the right track."

Every Chiefs running back had at least one running back score a touchdown.

"We said it all week: We're trying to go for a hat trick," McKinnon continued. "We just maximized the opportunity."

The Chiefs are not known as a running team and haven't been in a very long time. However, they have three running backs that they love and can do almost everything on the football field. Isaiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire both split rushing attempts with 15 each. Pacheco led the team in rushing with 62 yards and CEH with 55. But both had a rushing touchdown.

As for Jerick McKinnon, the veteran on the team who is known for his pass-catching abilities and pass protection, he received two touchdowns.

"For how teams are playing us with those zone coverages, we're going to have to run the ball," Mahomes said. "Getting those guys going downhill it opens everything else. When the run game gets going, that's when the offense gets going."

Of course, the game was also headlined by the fact that Taylor Swift was in attendance to watch Travis Kelce score a touchdown. It seemed as if she had a camera on her the entire time, and rightfully so; she is one of the most popular human beings on planet earth.

The two have taken over the football world. So, don't let that take away from the fact that the Chiefs' offense is back.

"She's a tremendous singer," Mahomes said. "I haven't gotten to meet her. But I guess if she ends up being with Travis, then I'll probably get to meet her at some point. She seems like a good person, so hopefully, I get to meet her one day."

And the Chiefs are a tremendous team with a tremendous offense. We just needed to be reminded of it.
