Some things in this world just aren't meant to be. After the Week 1 Monday Night Football game between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills, you can start to feel that maybe the Kansas City Chiefs are a part of something that may never happen.
We have had several opportunities to see a matchup between Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, two of the very best ever to do it. However, every time the two teams play, there is always something.
On Monday night, the New York Jets' new quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, injured himself just four plays into the game. Early Tuesday morning, a report confirmed he tore his Achilles and would be done for the year.
The first time Rodgers and Mahomes were supposed to play one another, Mahomes suffered a freak knee injury just before the matchup. Matt Moore went in and almost beat Rodgers' Packers. The last time the two were supposed to play was in 2021. Rodgers had an injury, and Mahomes beat Jordan Love 13-7.

Obviously, we hope Rodgers' recovery goes well, and we wish him all the best, but man, it feels like the world is trying to tell us it just isn't meant to be. Now, we will see Mahomes against Zach Wilson. But hey, at least Chris Jones will be there.
Chiefs are trying to make Patrick Mahomes a happy man
The Kansas City Chiefs are not in dire need of anything on their offense, in terms of needs. Now, could they get better at some positions, sure, but they don't necessarily need anything. Now the defense needs a few things. However, that doesn't mean the Chiefs won't be active in terms of looking for some […]
