Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice addressed this weekend's vehicle accident in Dallas, Texas for the first time on Wednesday.

Rice's attorney, Royce West, released a statement on Monday, and now Rice has taken to Instagram to speak for himself. The Chiefs' wide receiver confirmed that he is cooperating fully and met with Dallas PD investigators regarding the crash on Saturday evening. He apologized for the incident and took full responsibility for his part in the accident, which remains unclear.

"Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday's accident. I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday's accident. – Rashee Rice"

What we know about the incident is that two vehicles, a rental Lamborghini and Rice's Corvette, were involved in the six-car collision on Saturday. The attorney representing the company that Rice rented the Lamborghini from told TMZ that their policy states Rice is the only one who should have been driving the vehicle. We have not yet received confirmation from law enforcement or legal representatives that Rice was driving or in any of the vehicles at the time of the accident.

Court documents show that Rice has not yet been booked or charged with a crime after today's meeting with Dallas PD, which is certainly a positive sign. That does not mean that charges can't be brought at a later date. We'll continue to monitor things with Rice as the Dallas PD investigation into the crash continues.
