The Kansas City Chiefs 2023 schedule is here, and the NFL messed one thing up big time that Chiefs fans have to be upset about.
The Chiefs have a pretty tough schedule this year, as they will look to face all of their playoff opponents the last two years, including a Super Bowl re-match with the Philadelphia Eagles. Of course, the NFL couldn't not give the people what they want, so they gave the Chiefs a matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills. let's also not forget about how tough that Week 2 matchup could be against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
While it's great to have a tougher schedule because it shows you just how you matchup against the rest of the league, there was one thing they still got wrong. They didn't let the Miami Dolphins come to Arrowhead and instead took the matchup overseas to Germany.
The schedule came out and what everyone instantly realized is we won't get the Chiefs – Tyreek Hill matchup in arrowhead, like we all wanted. Sure, having a game in Germany is great, but maybe they could have done that with the Chicago Bears instead, a team that was rumored to have the matchup first.
Tyreek Hill a while back said he was going to score a touchdown in Arrowhead once again when they meet in Kansas City. it made a lot of Chiefs fans fired up to see their team beat the Dolphins at home. Now, they won't get to see that in the place where it all started for Hill.
The NFL Schedule makers were still able to get a lot of other things right though.
Here is the full schedule:
- Week 1: vs. Detroit Lions (Thursday, Sept. 9, 7:20pm CT)
- Week 2: @ Jacksonville Jaguars (Sunday, Sept. 17, 12:00pm CT)

Like we said earlier, the games against the playoff teams was something they had to do. But, if we are counting other things they did wrong, none of them are on primetime TV, even the Bengals and Bills. Instead, they play the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers on primetime TV. That's just another thing they need to fox for this schedule to be perfect.
The Chiefs have one of the hardest schedules in the league, but that's what you want as a fan. You want to play the best to show you are the best. The Chiefs will be able to do that this year. However, they will have to do that over the Dolphins in Germany.
