Tracking Chiefs' top-30 visits thus far:
If you're not familiar with a top-30 visit, don't be confused by the moniker. These are 30 pre-draft visits that teams are allotted with prospects in the upcoming class. Some visits don't count against the 30-visit limit if the prospects are considered a "local" prospect.
These visits do not include any on-field testing or workouts at team facilities. Players will tour the campus at 1 Arrowhead Dr., where they'll meet with various staff members and so on. The Chiefs often use the visits to host players who could be priority undrafted free agents to impress upon them that Kansas City is the place to sign with following the draft. Other times they'll host players with an injury history so they can have them meet with team trainers and doctors for examinations. In other instances, they bring in players with character and off-field questions to see if they'll mesh with the team culture.
Under Brett Veach, the Chiefs have drafted several players confirmed to have taken pre-draft visits with the team. That list includes Rashee Rice, BJ Thompson, Jaylen Watson, Joshua Williams, Nick Bolton, and Juan Thornhill.
