Patrick Mahomes takes more flack than people probably realize. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback isn't perfect, by any means, but a lot of people expect him to be, maybe because he is the closest thing to it in the NFL.

This is a guy who has already done everything in just five seasons as a starter, now other media guys want to take guys who have done far less and say they are better. That's not how this works. Mahomes is the MVP this season, I'm pretty confident in saying, and he will easily win more.

The media likes to pan Mahomes and Joe Burrow against each other, which is fine. And, Burrow is an amazing quarterback, who has beaten Mahomes three times now. But, that doesn't mean he is better than Mahomes.

One NFL media member seems to think that is the one thing that makes Burrow better.

"If Burrow beats Mahomes on Sunday, how can you make the argument Mahomes is better than Burrow?"

That's what Peter Schrags said on NFL Network about the two quarterbacks of the future.

One former Chiefs player, and All-Pro, Mitchell Schwartz didn't like that. He responded in the best way possible too.

All Schrags had to say after Schwartz's response was "I apologize."

Burrow can't possibly be better than Mahomes based on what the two have accomplished. Sure, Burrow is amazing and the second-best quarterback in the league. But, there is a reason he isn't first.
