After the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game a couple of weeks ago, defensive back Eli Apple decided to talk some trash to Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman.

Apple, who joined the Bengals this season after being released by the Carolina Panthers in 2020, taunted Hardman and Hill by "offering" them Super Bowl tickets.

Apple may have played in Super Bowl LVI, but he didn't leave SoFi Stadium on Sunday night a winner. The Bengals lost 23-20 to the Los Angeles Rams.

Immediately after the game, Hardman tweeted a video of his Super Bowl ring (that he won in Super Bowl LIV) at Apple and included the caption "It’s cool big bro! You might get one of these one day but in the mean time just go get better at your craft".

There's not much you can say to that if you're Apple. Hardman has his ring. And there's a good chance he'll add to his collection with Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback.

Apple, on the other hand, will be a free agent in March. So who knows where he'll end up playing in 2022.

Though I have a good feeling he probably won't land in Kansas City.
