The Kansas City Chiefs (4-1) are heading home to face the Denver Broncos (1-4) in Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season for "Thursday Night Football."

Kansas City has rattled off four consecutive wins, including two consecutive wins at home. Denver is reeling after losing to the New York Jets and former Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett in Week 5. Sean Payton really put his foot in his mouth with the comments he made about Hackett's coaching during the offseason.

According to the folks at DraftKings Sportsbook, the Chiefs are 10.5-point favorites over the Broncos in Week 6. The over/under point total is 51 points. The Kansas City moneyline is currently listed at -520, giving the Chiefs an 83.87% implied win probability.

Kansas City is 3-2 against the spread this season and 2-3 on the over/under point totals through four weeks of play. Denver is 0-4 against the spread with a push in Week 4 and 4-1 on the over/under point total thus far.

It's easy to understand the lopsided betting odds in this one. The Chiefs have won their last 15 consecutive games against the Broncos. Denver is the road team on a short week and they've looked to be one of the worst teams in football this season. The only thing they have going for them is the unpredictable nature of the short week.

You just know that Payton will pull out all the stops in this game given the Kansas City winning streak. Ending that could forgive all sins of the 2023 NFL season and prove to his detractors that he has the Broncos moving in the right direction.
