Patrick Mahomes did it again on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles were tied at 35 with just five minutes left in the fourth quarter on Sunday. Mahomes engineered a 12-play 66-yard drive that was capped off by a field goal from kicker Harrison Butker with eight seconds left, giving the Chiefs their second Super Bowl win in the last four seasons.

Mahomes cemented his place among the great quarterbacks in NFL history with this victory as he became only the fourth to win multiple Super Bowls and league MVP awards joining Hall of Famers Joe Montana and Peyton Manning as well as future Canton inductee Tom Brady.

Mahomes being 27 is quite significant. He is the youngest of the four to accomplish this feat. Brady and Montana were 33 and 34 respectively when they achieved it, and Mahomes just edges out Manning who was 28 when he did so.

In the five seasons that Mahomes has been the starting quarterback for the Chiefs, they have reached the AFC Championship Game every year and appeared in three Super Bowls with two victories.

Mahomes has garnered Pro Bowl honors in five consecutive seasons with three All-Pro selections. He led the NFL in passing touchdowns with 41 this season, his second time doing so in his career. Also, he led the league in passing yards with 5,250 and set the NFL record for total yards with 5,614.

Needless to say, putting Mahomes under center was the best thing the Chiefs organization has ever done.
