The Kansas City Chiefs signed Welsh rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit on Friday.

Rees-Zammit is an elite athlete who dominated the sport of rugby since he was 16 years old. He will now chase his dream of being a professional football player, a sport that he has admired since he was a child watching his father play in Europe.

When Rees-Zammit officially signed his contract, he posted a short video introducing himself to Chiefs Kingdom.

He also took time to answer some lighthearted questions, but his response to why he wants to play football was a good one.

" My dad's a massive role model for me." Rees-Zammit said, "Being able to do this for him and my mom is massive. There's not that many two-sport athletes out there, so kind of for myself I want to be able to do that and inspire a lot of people back home to be able to take this journey and kind of lead a pathway for international players."

Rees-Zammit's contract is for three years, which may signal that he's going to need some time to develop. Going into a new sport at the professional level isn't easy, physically or mentally. He may have the speed and athleticism, but he'll need to learn the mental part of the game as well as how to absorb hits and run routes.
