Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce is expected to play against the Denver Broncos on Thursday night, despite his questionable game status designation.

An NFL source with knowledge of the situation revealed to ESPN's Adam Schefter that Kelce is expected to play during "Thursday Night Football" against the Broncos in Week 6. Even with the short turnaround, Kelce is expected to be good to go for prime time on Thursday.

Kelce was listed as questionable heading into the game after suffering an ankle injury during the team's Week 5 contest against the Minnesota Vikings. He was able to come back and finish that game, with a dominant performance in the third quarter after rolling his ankle ahead of halftime.

Kelce's injury has been described as a low ankle sprain throughout the practice week. He was an estimated non-participant on Monday and was listed as a limited participant in both Tuesday and Wednesday practices. I'm told that the plan for the practice week was to get him limited action and keep him off his ankle as much as possible.

The 34-year-old tight end has 27 receptions for 222 receiving yards and three touchdowns in five games played this season. He missed Week 1 with a knee injury and left Week 5's game briefly due to his ankle injury.

The news that Kelce is expected to play shouldn't surprise fans who have been paying attention to his love life. It was recently revealed that Taylor Swift is expected to attend Thursday night's game at GEHA FIeld at Arrowhead Stadium to watch Kelce play. This will be her second time watching Kelce play at his home stadium. She last attended the Week 3 game against the Chicago Bears.
