Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence made the mistake of talking some trash before playing the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend.
Lawrence didn't really direct any trash talk at the Chiefs players, but instead, he downplayed the impact that Kansas City fans will have at Arrowhead on Saturday afternoon.
The former Clemson quarterback told reporters that he doesn't think Chiefs fans at Arrowhead will be any louder than Jaguars fans are in Jacksonville.
Now, in Lawrence's defense, he did give the Chiefs credit for having one of the best atmospheres in the NFL.
But throwing in that he doesn't expect Kansas City fans to be louder than Jaguars fans probably wasn't wise.
Everyone knows that Arrowhead has the best atmosphere in the NFL. The only team that really comes close to replicating the Chiefs' environment is the Seattle Seahawks.
After hearing these comments, Kansas City fans are going to be even more determined to make it a nightmare for Lawrence and the Jaguars' offense to communicate on Saturday.
All Lawrence did was fire up a rabid fan base even more than they already were.
Bad mistake by the young quarterback.
