Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill joined "Super Bowl Live" on NFL Network Friday to talk about the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Fransisco 49ers.
Before the question could even be asked, Hill shared his pick to win the game – selecting the Chiefs. He predicted a 34-31 shootout victory for Kansas City, which seems to be a popular theory for this game. Host Andrew Siciliano warned Hill that if he were to pick the 49ers it would create headlines, but Hill assured them that if his Dolphins aren't involved, he's rooting for the Chiefs.
Hill also admitted that he gets a bit sad watching his former team playing in the Super Bowl, this marking the second time in as many years the Chiefs have gone to the big game since trading Hill.
"I tell the guys congratulations, I'm so proud of you guys." Hill said, "I wish it was kind of me (playing in the Super Bowl). I'm like the sad little brother."
The Chiefs beat Hill's Dolphins in the wild-card round en route to the Super Bowl. Hill was a good sport about the loss and had nothing but positive things to say about his return to K.C. It's nice to know that Hill still cares about his former team and supports them. Chiefs' fans have often wondered if he left with a grudge based off some past comments he has made.
Hill has reached the playoffs in each of his two seasons with the Dolphins, but they have gone one-and-done each time. However, Hill's individual success has been at an all-time best, setting career highs in receptions and receiving yards. He left K.C. ranking fourth all-time in team history in both receptions (479) and receiving touchdowns (56) and ranks fifth in receiving yards with 6,630.
