The Tennessee Titans weren't able to reach the Super Bowl this year, but the Nashville area was still well represented.
Three players from Nashville left SoFi Stadium as Super Bowl Champions on Sunday evening after the Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 to win Super Bowl LVI.
Cornerback Jalen Ramsey, wide receiver Van Jefferson, and tight end Brycen Hopkins will each soon have Super Bowl rings they can show off in Nashville.
Oddly enough, none of the three players from Nashville played college football in the state of Tennessee.
Ramsey played at Florida State, Jefferson played at Ole Miss and Florida, and Hopkins played at Purdue.
Hopkins, who is the son of former Titans offensive lineman Brad Hopkins, came into the game with one career reception. But he made a significant impact against the Bengals, catching four passes for 47 yards — third-most on the night for the Rams.
Jefferson finished the night with four receptions for 23 yards (he also became a dad for the second time as his wife gave birth to their second child shortly after the conclusion of the Super Bowl).
Ramsey played his typical solid defense, finishing with four total tackles. He was also the victim of one of the worst missed calls in Super Bowl history when Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (who is from Oak Ridge, TN) grabbed Ramsey's facemask to create separation on a touchdown reception.
That call could've been the difference in the game, but the Rams were able to take care of business in the fourth quarter and prevent Joe Burrow and the Bengals from winning their first Super Bowl in franchise history.
