There were a lot of trades during the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but none of them were as big as the Tennessee Titans trading star WR AJ Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Tennessee traded Brown after it became apparent that two sides were not going to be able to agree on a new contract.
Brown is receiving a four year extension worth $100 million from the Eagles.
Shortly after trade went down, Brown took to Twitter (as he often does) to send a message to Titans fans.
“Tennessee I love you and you will forever be in my heart and I can say this now… THIS WAS NOT MY FAULT. But I wish you all the best. Love,” read a tweet from Brown.
The tweet was deleted just after Brown sent it.
It’s unclear what Brown is referring to, but it’s worth noting that he told Deebo Samuel in a phone call captured on Instagram live last week that Tennessee told him he was worth more than $20 million, but they weren’t going to give it to him.
There’s two sides to every story. And I’m not sure we’ll ever hear the entire story.
