Big 10 fans probably won't like the latest comments from Tennessee Vols quarterback Joe Milton.

Milton, who is expected to be Tennessee's starting quarterback this fall, arrived in Knoxville in 2021 after spending three seasons with the Michigan Wolverines.

With three years of experience in the Big 10 and two years of experience in the SEC, it's safe to say that Milton has a good idea of which conference has the better players.

And Milton thinks it's the SEC.

The Locked on SEC podcast recently asked Milton what the biggest difference is between the SEC and the Big 10.

"Guys are way faster [in the SEC]," said Milton. Stronger? No, Michigan was pretty strong. But faster? Yes. Guys are actually running sideline to sideline (in the SEC). In the Big 10, [there were] only a couple guys that can do that. Like you had (linebacker) Devin Bush, but he was on my team. He wasn't tackling me. But now, you got guys running sideline to sideline pretty much every game."

Big 10 fans probably won't love those comments — though Milton gave Michigan some respect in the strength department — but I'm not sure how they could argue against Milton's take. The SEC, after all, has won four straight national championships (and 13 of the last 17).

"It just means more" isn't just a silly slogan from the SEC — it's reality.
