The Tennessee Titans have gotten rid of former offensive coordinator Todd Downing. They are healthier than they were last season – as if they could really sustain more injuries. Ryan Tannehill looks to be in good shape, and players like Chig Okonkwo and Kyle Philips look to continue improving. They've got that guy named Derrick Henry as well!
All that said, a key factor for their offense comes in the form of second-year wideout Treylon Burks. Burks dealt with some injuries last year, but he was an exciting piece when he played. ESPN believes that he is the Titans' biggest X-Factor this season.
X factor for 2023: WR Treylon Burks. If he doesn't breakout, then we can give up on this offense. Burks had just 444 receiving yards last season, but his 1.83 yards per route run ranked 33rd out of 104 WRs with at least 200 routes run. — Walder
Walder is right-on when it comes to Burks. He's gotta stay healthy to provide any major upside for the Titans' WR corps. Kyle Philips is a fun slot player, and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has shown he can be capable at the NFL level.
That being said, neither is the complete package like Burks can be for the offense. His production could be the difference in the Tennessee passing offense being ranked 20th or 12th. he will make a major difference for the Titans either way the pendulum swings.
