2023 five-star quarterback Arch Manning is the most popular recruit in the nation right now.
And for good reason.
Manning is the son of Cooper Manning, the grandson of Archie Manning, and the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning.
In other words, Arch is football royalty.
He's also a pretty good football player. 247Sports' composite rankings have Arch as the No. 1 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class.

Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas appear to be the programs that are in the mix for Arch.
As of Friday, we can add one more program to that list — Virginia.
That's right. The Cavaliers are in the mix to land Arch.
The five-star quarterback is reportedly heading to Charlottesville for a visit this weekend.
I'm sure this might confuse some folks — Virginia isn't exactly a hotbed for five-star recruits.
But there's actually a logical reason why Arch is visiting. His mom went to school at Virginia (so did Arch's aunt, Peyton's wife, Ashley). Arch's sister is also currently going to school at Virginia.
I don't think the Cavaliers actually have a shot here. I think this is just Arch showing some love to his mom's alma mater. Why not visit as many programs as possible?
But who knows, maybe Virginia somehow convinces Arch that he should be a Cavalier. It would be shocking, but I don't think it can be ruled out quite yet.
Arch doesn't appear to be close to making a decision. I wouldn't expect a commitment until later this summer at the earliest.
I still lean toward Georgia landing the young phenom quarterback.
