Former Lady Vols standout Andraya Carter went viral on Thursday night during the 2023 NBA Draft thanks to a fun back and forth with former NBA player JJ Redick.

Carter called Redick an "average" shooter while discussing how hard is it to consistently be a good shooter at the next level.

When Carter made the comment, which wasn't intended as an insult, Redick immediately appeared to take offense, saying sharply "is that a serious question".

Here's the clip.

Redick later tweeted that he and Carter were joking around before the show about that particular topic. The former Duke standout also praised Carter for her draft coverage.

The original tweet that shows the video of the back and forth between Redick and Carter has been viewed over five million times so far. But Redick's follow up tweet has been viewed just shy of a million times so far. Which means there's a lot of folks out there that likely aren't aware of the inside joke between Redick and Carter.
