The Tennessee Titans are the top seed in the AFC. They are getting back the best running back in the game from injury as they begin postseason play. Their head coach is one of the best in league history after extended rest. Is this a recipe for a Super Bowl run? Kevin Byard believes that this Titans team needs to win it all or it would be a disappointment overall.

Is he correct?

Byard makes some good points. The roster is built to win currently, given the opportunity.

Looking at it closer, the Titans have a star running back close to hitting that 30-year-old wall (although, that wall may be delayed by his unique physical makeup). Their quarterback is a smart, veteran presence with talented receivers. Their offensive line has seen some inconsistency, but it has made strides throughout the season. It also looks to be the healthiest it has been all year.

On defense, the secondary is playing much better than expected. Jackrabbit Jenkins looks to be on track to play this week, so his health seems to be on the uptick as well.

The linebackers have stepped up when it matters, causing turnovers or creating big stops. David Long Jr. continues to be one of the more underrated LBs in the league. The defensive line is where their bread is buttered, especially. The Titans also have possibly the best DL unit in the league. Jeffery Simmons should have been first-team All-Pro, and Harold Landry III is one of the most consistent edge forces in the NFL. Throw in Bud Dupree and Denico Autry, and the talent/depth is very impressive. Not to mention, Byard is the league's top safety this season.

Based on the timeline of the Titans, this season probably is their best opportunity for a Super Bowl run. A lot of pieces have fallen into place, and their depth is playing above expectations. Will it all translate to postseason success? We will find out in just a couple of days when they face the Cincinnati Bengals in the Divisional Round.
