There's a great Josh Heupel quote from back in the summer that's making the rounds again after the Tennessee Vols' 66-24 win against the Missouri Tigers.

With the game already decided, and less than a minute remaining on the clock, Heupel chose to continue running his offense. And the Vols put 7 more points on the board via a two-yard touchdown run from running back Dylan Sampson.

Heupel was criticized by the CBS broadcast team for "running up the score".

After the game, numerous Vols fans started pointing out something Heupel said during an interview with former Alabama Greg McElroy.

Heupel was asked if he's more competitive than Tennessee baseball coach Tony Vitello.

"Not even close, I am," said Heupel. "Tony is a fierce competitor for sure, but he's a close second."

Watching Heupel continue to attack Missouri through the air even though the game was no longer in doubt seemingly confirms that he's the most competitive coach in Knoxville.

And he doesn't mind being the villain — kinda like Tony Vitello.

Alignment in Tennessee's athletic department is a real thing. Heupel and Vitello are proof.
