A prominent national media outlet made quite the prediction for Neyland Stadium, the home of the Tennessee Vols, ahead of the 2023 season.
247Sports made their predictions this week for which games in 2023 will have the loudest crowds.
And Tennessee's home game against the Georgia Bulldogs on November 18 came in at No. 1 on their list.
From 247Sports: You couldn't hear yourself speak inside Neyland Stadium twice last season during Tennessee's wins over Alabama and Kentucky, two sellouts the created some of the rowdiest atmospheres ever in Knoxville. That's going to happen again in 2023 when two-time defending national champion Georgia plays Tennessee. Tennessee will try and end this program's reign atop college football in the SEC finale. Georgia should carry the nation's longest winning streak into Neyland Stadium for this one.
If Tennessee and Georgia both take care of business heading into this matchup (which will be tougher for the Vols since they have a much harder schedule than the Bulldogs), then this game could determine the winner of the SEC East. And if those are the stakes, then there's no doubt that Neyland will provide the most insane atmosphere of the entire season.
By the way, that's not the only game involving Tennessee that made the list. The Vols' matchup against the Florida Gators in the Swamp came in at No. 6 on 247Sports' list.
From 247Sports: Tennessee has not beaten Florida in Gainesville since the 2003 season, so this means a great deal for the Volunteers. Most expect Florida to struggle in Year 2 under Billy Napier, but things would change quickly for the Gators if they knocked off Tennessee. The Swamp is a hostile environment for any team, especially when Tennessee is the visiting team. This is a season-defining matchup for the Gators too and holds equal importance.
This list might seem silly to some — predicting which stadiums will be the loudest is a sure sign that fall camps haven't started yet — but it's a great reminder of why the SEC lands the best players. And it's because the biggest games of the season are played in the SEC.
