Pro Football Network's Mike Kaye thinks a former Tennessee Titans first-round draft selection could be a good free agent fit for the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason.

Kaye thinks the Chiefs should consider signing linebacker Rashaan Evans to a one-year "prove it" deal.

From Pro Football Network:

The Chiefs need to find their successor to Anthony Hitchens in the middle of their defense. Evans is only 26 and is probably looking for a one-year “prove it” deal.

Evans was drafted by the Titans with the No. 22 overall selection in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The former Alabama standout had his best season in 2019 when he finished with 111 total tackles and 2.5 sacks. The Titans declined Evans' fifth-year option after the 2020 season.

Evans, who is 26, was banged up this past season, missing five games while dealing with an ankle injury.

Signing Evans to a one-year deal could be a great value for the Chiefs. Evans likely isn't going to turn into a Pro-Bowl caliber linebacker, but he can be a dependable starter in the NFL. And he should be somewhat cheap in 2022.
