The Tennessee Titans are playing their best football of the season over the last month.

The offense is thundering through with Derrick Henry. The defense is getting more and more consistent.

Accordingly, one NFL insider believes that defensive coordinator Shane Bowen may get head coaching interviews this winter.

It would make plenty of sense. Bowen has improved in his time as DC for the Titans under Mike Vrabel.

The Titans' DC has helped to turn one of the worst defensive lines in the NFL into an absolute strength.

On the back end, Bowen's development of Kristian Fulton and Amani Hooker has been really impressive. Both are great players for the Titans' defense.

The linebacker position has dealt with many injuries as well, but Bowen continues to get the most out of them.

As for points allowed per game, the Titans' defense is in the top ten in the league under Bowen this season. That's been without star DL Harold Landry III.

The Titans are second in rushing yards allowed per game. The interior has been absolutely dominant.

It is possible that at least five teams will be looking for a new head coach after the season. Bowen will be on their radar, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.
