Reports and rumors continue to swirl around star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins, a former All-Pro and current free agent, has strong connections to the Tennessee Titans, and Tennessee wants to add him to their offensive arsenal. They wouldn't have hosted him on a visit if they didn't have legitimate interest. Regardless, he has yet to make a decision between the Titans, New England Patriots, and possibly others.

One former NFL GM and prominent insider thinks that Tennessee will be the eventual landing spot for Hopkins, though. Michael Lombardi broke down his thoughts on the situation.

He makes plenty of valid points. The contract would be maneuverable with their cap space. A two-year deal may make them out sense for the Titans, and it would provide stability for the wideout, too.

Lombardi doesn't believe that some of the other interested teams will be willing to pay up for Hopkins.

Tennessee could choose that route. At the helm of it all, though, is the need at WR that the Titans possess. Their depth chart at the position is unproven and thin – to say the least. If they want to improve their passing game after struggles last year, Hopkins makes the most sense right now most likely.
