The Tennessee Titans have the No. 26 pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, which means it's difficult to predict who they'll end up selecting.
Tennessee will essentially be waiting to see how the draft plays out to determine what kind of approach they'll take in the first round.
There are several scenarios that could play out for the Titans. They could draft a quarterback, take a wide receiver, trade up for a specific player, or possibly trade down to secure more draft capital.
One scenario that's a very real possibility for the Titans is taking an offensive lineman.
Pro Football Network's Aaron Wilson reported on Tuesday that Tennessee specifically likes Northern Iowa offensive tackle Trevor Penning.

Wilson noted that Penning visited the Baltimore Ravens and the Titans during the pre-draft process. He also reported that the Titans, along with the Ravens, Carolina Panthers, and Kansas City Chiefs, are among the teams considering selecting Penning in the first round of the draft.
Carolina would only select Penning if they traded back in the round and the Chiefs would likely have to trade up (Kansas City has the No. 29 and No. 30 picks in the first round).
Baltimore has the No. 14 overall pick.
You can see why it's tough to predict how the first round will play out.
Titans general manager Jon Robinson is almost certainly preparing for several different scenarios.
Penning, a fierce competitor who watches horror movies before games to get himself in the right mindset, is a player that would fit in nicely along Tennessee's offensive line.
But whether or not he ultimately lands in Nashville will depend on how the draft unfolds ahead of Tennessee's pick at No. 26. If Penning starts falling, then maybe the Titans trade up a few spots to select him. If he doesn't start falling, then I don't think we see a situation where Tennessee trades into the top 10 or top 15 to select him.
I think the Titans like Penning, but I don't think they like him enough to give up significant draft capital to trade up for him.
