Tennessee Titans wide receiver AJ Brown caused a bit of a stir earlier this offseason when he sent a tweet that numerous folks interpreted as a shot at quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

In a since-deleted tweet, Brown called former Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota the best leader he's ever been around (the tweet was in response to Mariota signing a free-agent deal with the Atlanta Falcons).

Unsurprisingly, some fans and media outlets questioned if Brown was throwing shade at Tannehill by calling the quarterback's predecessor a great leader.

The tweet was obviously just Brown showing support for his former teammate, but people took it and ran with it (which is likely why Brown deleted the tweet).

Tannehill and Brown actually have a great relationship. And Tannehill proved that this week with his answer to a question about which teammate he'd let babysit his kid.

Brown was the first teammate that Tannehill named when asked who he'd let babysit his kid (Tannehill's wife, Lauren, agreed).

I think that pretty much says all we need to know about the relationship between Tannehill and Brown. There's no bigger compliment you give someone than saying you trust them to babysit your kid(s).

There's been a lot of drama with Tannehill, Brown, and the Titans this offseason. But almost all of that drama has been completely manufactured. There's no rift between Tannehill and Brown. And there's no sign of Tennessee wanting to trade Brown, either.

Maybe we can finally put all of this to bed.
