South Carolina gave the Tennessee Vols some bulletin board material this offseason

The Tennessee Vols don't necessarily need any motivation entering the 2023 season.
Proving the doubters wrong after just missing the College Football Playoff last season is more than enough motivation for the Vols.
But like NFL superstar Joe Burrow said last season, if the motivation is there, you might as well use it (former Vols QB Hendon Hooker mentioned last month that Tennessee plays with a chip on its shoulder because of disrespect so it's something they've seemingly embraced).
In 2023, Tennessee will be looking to avenge its embarrassing 25-point loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks from this past season.
The Vols will take on South Carolina on September 30 in Neyland Stadium in Knoxville.
And Tennessee's defense will have some added motivation when they take the field.
Earlier this offseason, South Carolina wide receiver Juice Wells appeared on the popular "Bussin with the Boys" podcast which is hosted by NFL free agent Taylor Lewan and his sidekick, Will Compton.
Wells was asked which SEC cornerbacks he respects and he quickly said "none of them".
"I don't respect nobody, I go out there to kill," said Wells.
Obviously, this is bulletin board material for every SEC team on South Carolina's schedule in 2023, but the Vols, specifically (due to their loss to the Gamecocks last season), should be using this as motivation this offseason. Tennessee should play this throughout their facility all summer.
NFL players do it (again, just look at the Cincinnati Bengals), so why shouldn't college players?
Alabama head coach Nick Saban said last season that he urges his players to "make it personal".
Tennessee should do the same with these comments from Wells. It might be the added push that UT's cornerbacks need to play at a high level against a suddenly dangerous Gamecocks offense.
