The latest mock draft from The Athletic has the Tennessee Titans going with a very "on-brand" draft selection.
Dane Brugler, who covers the NFL draft year-round for The Athletic, has the Titans taking Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams with the No. 26 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
From The Athletic:
Even with his recent ACL injury, Williams has no business falling this far in the first round, although Tennessee won’t be upset to see it. He has the elite-level speed that changes how opponents defend you and would help take attention away from AJ Brown and the Titans’ run game.

Williams tore his ACL in Alabama's loss to Georgia in the College Football Playoff championship game in January. It's unclear exactly when he'll be ready to return to the field.
Before his ACL injury, Williams was considered a top 10 pick. If the Titans can get him at No. 26, and he returns to his post-ACL tear form, it would be a heck of a steal. The combination of Williams and AJ Brown has the potential to be the best wide receiver combination in the NFL (Williams would also have the benefit of learning from Julio Jones for at least a year).
This pick would be on-brand for the Titans because of a couple of general manager Jon Robinson's previous draft selections. In 2019, Robinson drafted Mississippi State defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons with a torn ACL. In 2021, Robinson drafted Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley, an oft-injured player in college who didn't play in 2020 after sitting out due to COVID-19.
The Simmons pick has worked out great for the Titans so far. The Farley pick, not so much.
Would Robinson be willing to take another gamble? If he does, Williams would be the one player in this draft worth gambling on.
