Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel announced on Monday that star running back Derrick Henry will undergo surgery on his injured foot on Tuesday morning.

Vrabel wouldn't put a timeline on how much time Henry will miss, though initial reports suggested that the former Alabama standout could miss the rest of the season.

On Monday afternoon, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said after speaking to sources that he believes Henry will return this season.

According to Rapoport, Henry should miss 6-10 weeks. If everything with the surgery goes perfect on Tuesday morning, and Henry doesn't suffer any setbacks, he could return in six weeks. That would put Henry back on the field for the Titans' matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 12.

At the worst, Henry should be back in 10 weeks (barring any major unforeseen setbacks). That would mean Henry would return for the Titans' season finale against the Houston Texans on January 9. Even if Henry didn't play in week 18, he should still be back for the playoffs.

None of this is ideal. Henry is one of the best football players on the planet. But at least Titans fans can expect to see Henry again this season.
