One of the Tennessee Vols' 2024 recruiting targets set a commitment date this week.

2024 four-star wide receiver Braylon Staley told On3 that he plans to announce his commitment on June 30 at 4:00 PM ET.

Staley, 6-foot/175 lbs from Aiken, SC, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 22 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of South Carolina. He's also rated as the No. 121 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class.

Clemson, Miami, North Carolina and Tennessee are the four schools vying for Staley's commitment.

It appears that Clemson is the team to beat for Staley, but the South Carolina native recently took a visit to Tennessee so the Vols at least stand a chance in this battle.

(Staley will visit North Carolina next weekend ahead of his commitment.)

If Tennessee manages to land Staley, they'll be getting a tough pass catcher who has plenty of speed (he runs track in high school) and can make defenders miss in the open field. Staley is the type of player that drives opposing defensive coordinators crazy.

The Vols are also in the mix for five-star wide receivers Ryan Wingo and Mike Matthews, as well as four-star wide receiver Amari Jefferson, so it's not like this is "must-win" recruiting battle for Tennessee.
