The Tennessee Vols are among the top schools for an elite 2025 in-state cornerback.

Four-star cornerback Tarrion Grant recently revealed his top 10 schools and Tennessee made the cut, along with Purdue, Michigan, Michigan State, Arkansas, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Miami, and LSU.

Grant, 6-foot-3/175 lbs from Murfreesboro, TN, is ranked in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 15 cornerback in the nation and the No. 3 player in the state of Tennessee. He's also rated as the No. 114 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.

The Vols need to land top in-state talent and they need to add as many elite defensive backs as possible. So it's easy to see why Grant is an important recruiting target for Tennessee.

It's still very early in Grant's recruitment, so this is a battle that won't be decided for a while. But he's certainly a player that Vols fans should keep an eye on.
