The Tennessee Vols are among the top schools for one of the nation's top 2024 linebackers.
2024 four-star linebacker Chris Cole revealed his top eight schools on Sunday and he included Tennessee, along with USC, Georgia, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Miami, Penn State, and Notre Dame.
Cole, 6-foot-3/210 lbs from Salem, VA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 6 linebacker in the nation and the No. 64 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class. He's also rated as the No. 1 player in the state of Virginia.
The Vols already have a solid connection to Cole as the talented linebacker is high school teammates with 2024 four-star running back Peyton Lewis, who just committed to Tennessee in late May.
According to 247Sports, Cole is set to take an unofficial visit to Tennessee in late July. If that visit goes well, the Vols could become one of the top contenders for the highly coveted four-star linebacker.
Tennessee currently has 16 players committed to its 2024 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 11 in the nation.
