The Tennessee Vols kept their positive recruiting momentum going on Friday by landing another big time commit.

2024 four-star linebacker Edwin Spillman announced his commitment to Tennessee on Friday afternoon, choosing the Vols over Ohio State.

Spillman, 6-foot-2/214 lbs from Nashville, TN, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 28 linebacker in the nation and the No. 3 player in the state of Tennessee.

Spillman's commitment comes just two days after 2024 five-star wide receiver Mike Matthews committed to Tennessee.

The Vols now have 18 players committed to their 2024 recruiting class.

Spillman's commitment to Tennessee led to a comment from 247Sports national director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong that will bring a smile to the faces of Vols fans around the nation.

“The Vols have found their way into college football’s short list of programs that have an actual chance to win it all, and Spillman is that caliber of player to suit up on that stage — size, speed, range," said Wiltfong (via GoVols247). "He’s a tone-setting tackler, an instinctive football player that’s always around the action."

Tennessee currently has the No. 7 ranked recruiting class in the nation according to On3.
