The Tennessee Vols made a big addition to their 2025 recruiting class on Thursday morning.

2025 four-star offensive lineman Nic Moore announced his commitment to Tennessee on Thursday, choosing the Vols over the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Moore's decision comes less than a week after he took an official visit to Tennessee. He also recently took official visits to Vanderbilt and West Virginia.

Moore, 6-foot-3/300 lbs from Dandridge, TN, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 13 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 5 player in the state of Tennessee.

Landing Moore is an impressive get for the Vols for a couple of reasons.

For starters, Moore didn't receive an offer from Tennessee until last month. West Virginia felt good about their chances of landing Moore even after the Vols offered late.

Tennessee, however, was able to make up a lot of ground over the last few weeks. It wasn't automatic that Moore would commit to the Vols despite going to high school just 30 minutes away from Neyland Stadium. West Virginia did a tremendous job with Moore's commitment and they were the favorites to land the talented offensive lineman until Tennessee got involved.

These are the kinds of recruiting battles that Tennessee consistently lost under previous coaching staffs. The fact that the Vols were able to jump into this recruiting battle late and win it says a lot about the coaching staff that Josh Heupel has assembled on Rocky Top.

Not only did the Vols get a solid in-state player on Thursday in Moore, but they're also getting a player that has SEC starting potential at an incredibly important position.
