The Tennessee Vols made a nice under-the-radar addition to their coaching staff this week.

According to multiple reports (first reported by On3's Matt Zenitz), the Vols are hiring former New Orleans Saints assistant secondary coach Cory Robinson as an analyst.

Robinson spent the last three seasons with the Saints. He's also recently served as the defensive pass game coordinator at Rutgers (2018) and Maryland (2019).

Vols head coach Josh Heupel has received plenty of attention for his ability to keep his coaching staff mostly together over the last couple of years.

Tennessee has only lost two coaches since Heupel's arrival in Knoxville.

Wide receivers coach Kodi Burns left Tennessee after the 2021 season to take the same job in the NFL with the Saints.

Offensive coordinator/tight ends coach Alex Golesh left UT after the 2022 season to become the new head coach at South Florida.

Heupel has quietly built a really nice behind-the-scenes staff as well, including analysts like Robinson (who should be able to help Tennessee's secondary improve).

Earlier this offseason, Heupel hired former Vols defensive lineman Robert Ayers to serve as a graduate assistant and help improve Tennessee's pass rush.

Heupel is slowing building a monster in Knoxville. From the recruiting trail to the meeting room, Tennessee seems to be making all the right moves these days.
